This rare and complete 14-volume set of Little Journeys by Elbert Hubbard (1916 Memorial Edition) is a stunning tribute to the craftsmanship of the Roycrofters and the legacy of Elbert Hubbard. Volume 1 includes a decorative page indicating that this specific set was prepared for Harry Krohn, adding a one of a kind unique and personalized touch to an already extraordinary collection. (The Memorial edition was published by the Rycrofters after E. Hubbard and his second wife, Alice Moore Hubbard, died aboard the RMS Lusitania when it was sunk by a German submarine off the coast of Ireland on May 7, 1915.) Memorial page dedication: “In the design modeled in colors on the outside front cover of these fourteen volumes, the artist has given us his conception of a memorial to Elbert Hubbard. In the foreground the tree, emblematic of his life’s work. The water to recall the last voyage of the ill-fated Lusitania. Measurements:
The stack of books measures 19.75” across standing side by side. Individual books vary in width, but are 8.5” tall and 6 ⅜” wide. The set weighs 21 lb.

Condition: overall good antique condition with normal wear and tear due to age. Some spots on some pages. Slight bend to some of the spines. Volume 1 binding is breaking under the coverSome scuffs/cracking in the covers. I am happy to provide more photos upon request as Etsy only lets you add 10.
