EAPG Butter Dish Marriage | 1894 Fostoria Lid | 1913 Heisey Dish | Cottage Core Decor

Ah, a butter dish ‘marriage.’ Two pieces that are from different patterns and makers and come together so well! The lovely bottom is Nappy or shallow bowl from Heisey No. 445 (circa 1913), the butter lid is speculated to be Fostoria's threaded Line 400 by those that know more about EAPG than I! Both pieces are in amazing shape for 100+ years of age, with no chips or cracks. Perfect for the collector or the lover of antique things or a unique wedding or bridal gift, it is also a functional piece that can be used in your home and kitchen. More of the ‘ stories are below:
This is old glass which contains Manganese dioxide (it will glow green with a 365nm UV light).
No chips or cracks on either piece. Interestingly, there is a slight dip in the threading near the knob of the lid, it feels like someone pressed their thumb there as it was being molded.
Base: Nappy HEISEY, A. H. & CO. No. 445 (OMN) by Heisey, A. H. and Company/Newark-Ohio (Company Operated: 1896-1957), 1913 Introduced. Heisey mark in the center (H in a diamond). Approximately 6.5" wide and 1 1/8" tall
Butter Lid: Speculated to be FOSTORIA GLASS CO. No. 400 (OMN). MAKER: Fostoria Glass Company/Fostoria-Ohio/Moundsville-WV (Co. Operated: 1887-1986), Introduced: c1894. Approximately 4.5" tall and 5 1/8" wide.
