1939 New York World’s Fair Plate made by Syroco Wood

A beautiful reddish brown wall plate or plaque to commemorate the 1939 World’s Fair in New York. It features a 3-dimensional depiction of the buildings with the Fair’s icons, the Trylon and Perisphere in white. The Perisphere was a tremendous sphere, 180 feet (55 m) in diameter, which housed the futuristic "Democracity" diorama. It connected to the 610-foot (190 m) spire-shaped Trylon by what was at the time the world's longest escalator.

Some wear/tear on the back commiserate with age (see pictures). The front is in great shape with very few scuffs/scrapes.
