Vintage 1930's Dionne Quintuplets 4.5” Bisque Doll Set with Bowl and Carlton Silverplate Spoons

The Dionne identical quintuplets (born May 28, 1934) were the first quintuplets known to have survived their infancy. Each one of these 4.5” long bisque dolls, in her starched nightgown has one of the girls’ names written above the red bow. The Made in Japan dolls have moveable arms and legs and painted faces. They are in good condition with scuffs, stains, worn paint,loose joints, etc., commiserate with age. However, the Yvonnne doll is unfortunately missing one foot (see pictures).

In addition 5 Carlton silverplate spoons, each featuring an embossed image of one of the girls and their name on the handle. The final part of this listing is a 6” bowl on which the girls’ names are engraved and their faces embossed.

This is a truly unique set (I have not been able to find another set of quintuplet dolls like it) and is perfect for a collector, someone interested in history
