This gorgeous and highly collectible red and white Melody Chinese Red Teapot was introduced by Hall China in 1939 and made into the 1950s. It is as beautiful today as the day it was made and ready to grace your home and table every day, or use it for special occasions such as Valentines, Christmas, or Chinese Lunar New Year.
No chips or cracks on the outside. There is a tiny nick on the lower inner rim of the pot, but I am unclear if that is truly a nick or manufacturing defect.
The parts of the lid that are not glazed have a slight yellowish tinge. There is a darkness in the ring at the bottom of the teapot, but that might be because where the wall meets the bottom on the inside, it creates a little crevice.
Approximatley 6 ⅛” tall with lid, 8.5” from spout to handle and 7.5” wide at the top
Mark on the bottom in gold: Halls Superior Quality Kitchenware, Made in USA, 1404. 1404 is also in the side of the lid.
