1964-65 New York World’s Fair Souvenir | Decorative Wall Plaque

A lovely copper embossed plaque with highlights in blue and white enamel. In the center is the Unisphere and New York iconic sites, such as the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty can be seen in the background. The theme for the fiar was “Peace Through Understanding” and it showcased advancement in technology, industry, and international relations.

The piece is tarnished in places and the enamel paint is missing in spots (commiserate with age), but it is still a wonderful souvenir from that fair.
Approximately 7.25” wide and 5” tall.
No chips or cracks.
Embossed on back: 1961 N.Y.W.F., Unisphere Presented by United States Steel, Made in Japan.

As a child, I loved going with my mama and grandparents to yard sales, estate sales, and thrift stores as we shared the love of sifting for treasures. That tradition has been continued into my adulthood and I am honored to share my unique finds with you.
