Antique 1800s George Salter Brass Letter Balance Mail Hanging Scale and Basket

Late Victorian beautiful and delicate looking hanging scale. The curled wires on the basket give it a whimsical look that reminds me of a hummingbird perch.) Amazingly, it is still in working condition.
