Antique 1928 Curtiss Candy Co. Baby Ruth ‘Outdoor’s Display Box Bottom Only

$65.00

This Babe Ruth display box is a unique piece of Americana advertising ephemera. It once held 24 5¢ candy bars. Interestingly, 2 of the sides face up and the other 2 face down to accommodate displaying the candy bars in the open box.
The Outdoors campaign specifically targeted the growing trend of American leisure and recreation in the 1930s and 40s. By associating the candy bar with hiking, boating, and camping the company positioned the product as a portable snack for adventurers. Such ephemeral advertising materials are highly sought after by collectors of Americana and confectionery history.
Box is 8.5 x 9 x 2.5
