1962 Texaco Diesel Chief Porcelain Enameled Fuel Pump Plate Sign

This MCM Texaco Diesel Chief porcelain enameled fuel pump plate is a symbol of American road trips and Americans’ love of cars. An amazing piece of Americana and a perfect gift for the collector or car lover or to add to home, garage or man cave decor.
SSP (single sided porcelain) pump plate that has maintained good color and gloss. The gloss seems to be more consistent in the top white section and more wear and tear in the lower red section. There are minor chips and light rust in spots around the perimeter. ⅜” damaged spot after the L in Diesel.Lower right corner is damaged. All six factory grommets are present and there is some light rust around them. The sign is marked 3-6-62 Made in U.S.A. 18" H X 12" W.
