Authentic Civil War-era US Oval Belt Plate/Buckle | Union Infantryman

A beautiful non-dug US oval belt plate or buckle with just the right amount of patina which was a standard Union infantry issue during the Civil War. This piece is made of die-stamped brass with lead fill on the back and has retained its two original arrowhead hooks and the tongue. Perfect for the history buff, or the military or Civil War collector of memorabilia.

When looked at from the side, the rim is not even and waves up and down. It looks like one end of the buckle was crimped/pinched and there are other dings, nicks/scratches, patina etc to show its age.
At approximately 3.25" wide and 2 1/8" tall, this plate seems to be the smaller size.
