1930-50s Vintage Chow Chow Figurine | Made in Japan | Dog Whimsical Gift

Lovely brown and cream Chow Chow dog, or perhaps it is an Akita Spitz, you decide! It is in excellent condition, waiting to grace your home or man cave decor. It would also make a wonderful gift for a dog-loving friend.

No noted chips or cracks, but crazing all over the piece
Made in Japan stamp on bottom and likely from the mid-1930s to-1945 or from 1952-54.
Approximately 34.5” long, 4.25” tall and 2.25” wide

1921–1941: Goods destined for the US export market were required to be marked "Japan" or "Made in Japan". Pre-1926 pieces were hand-painted, while later pieces were stenciled.
Occupied Japan was used from 1945-1951, so this set is either from the mid-1930s to-1945 or from 1952-54.
