Antique Farrelly Bros Woolen Cap from Daking House, Sydney

At about 100 years of age, this antique black woolen cap with gold cording is in great shape and has plenty of use left in it. This Farrelly Bros. cap may have been a uniform, sports club or cricket presentation cap. Perfect for a Thesbian, to use in cosplay, or for the collector of historical clothing.

Oddly enough, all references online list this as the Farrelly Bros., however, the tag inside reads Farrelley Bros.

Circa 1914-1930s
Some moth holes (see pictures)
Tag inside reads: Made by Farrelley Bros, Daking House, Pitt St., Sydney
Approximately 9.5” from brim to the back of the cap. The hard material inside the cap bill is cracked, but does not affect the cap’s shape.

Farrelly Bros. operated out of the upper floors of Daking House as a premier tailoring firm in Sydney, Australia. Among other things, they produced specialized school apparel, including blazers, school caps, embroidered badges, tunics, hat bands, and ties.
